The Pediatricians of West County Pediatrics have been providing care to Families with children for over 30 years. Our commitment to the health and well being of children has been consistent throughout the years. We maintain membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics and are all Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
We are also part of the Mercy Clinic Medical Group. We do this to insure that our patients receive all they need to have healthy and happy childhoods. We continually maintain our expertise in Pediatric Medicine through participation in Seminars, Continuing Medical Education Courses, and reading of the latest Pediatric Research.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic we have maintained availability for our patients and will continue to do so until it is resolved. We have prepared our staff and are following successful guidelines to prevent infection by the Coronavirus. In Pediatrics the Coronavirus has not been as severe compared to those over age 65 and those with chronic health problems such as Heart Disease, Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes and those with diseases that suppress the immune system. Gerald S. Lowther MD FAAP![]() Dr. Lowther has been in practice for over 30 years.
He graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He has been a leader in Mercy Clinic since its inception. He currently serves as Pediatric Consultant of Rockwood School District. Dr. Lowther is on staff at Mercy Children's Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital and Missouri Baptist Hospital. |
Kent L. Killian MD FAAP![]() Dr. Killian has been part of West County Pediatrics since 1997.
He graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He did an Internship in Internal Medicine at Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He is Director for Christ Community International's outreach to children in Kawete, Uganda. Dr. Killian is on staff at Mercy Children's Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital and Missouri Baptist Hospital. |
